Unclassics 40: EARTH - Hex; Or Printing in the Infernal Method (2005, Southern Lord)

genre: drone metal, country

Dylan Carlson invented drone metal, then he went through hell of drug addiction and returned in early 00s thanks to his admirers on Southern Lord. Hex doesnt sound as raw and heavy as his early EARTH albums, but that's of course a great achievement. Where do you wanna go after album called Low Frequency Edition? Dylan chose to explore the roots of rock and ended up with sounding country. Make no mistake, this is no fucking MOR country with Nashville guys with funny hats, this is raw as fuck country dug from the soil of American soul. Enjoy, this is one of the only three (i guess) country albums on my list :) (Sorry Garth Brooks, you didnt make it!) PS: Special dedication to my dear brother-in-law who plays this album every time we get stoned.

)dl( get it while it's hot, I delete the files after 3 days
