genre: IDM (?), post-rave
Hauntology again. Conceptual album about the fucked up pirate radio station transmitting after the nuclear holocaust. A nice disturbing album which covers wide array of cheap post-rave "thang" from bleep techno to dubstep and also incorporating some radio jingles. The naration is provided by Philip Elsmore, who used to be "continuity announcer on Thames Television" (WIKI) in 70s & 80s, who realy sounds like the guy you would believe if he annouced the end of the world. Funnily enough, Mordant Music are associated both with Ghost Box's hauntology and dubstep genre (Shackleton being their good friend a remixer).
(Not on this album, but made at the same time)
